Ashley Smikle was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. One of the things he loved about living in Toronto was the multiculturalism. One could meet people from all over the world without actually traveling the world! So growing up in a multicultural school, church and neighborhood, he had friends from the Caribbean, Asia, Europe and Africa. It was a delight for him to be invited into their homes and share their foods. He was awed by their various cultures. For Ashley, variety is the spice of life! As he got older, Ashley began to travel more. What became abundantly apparent, was the great quality of life, that living in Canada affords. There are many things that North Americans take for granted, that are not in other countries. A Canadian Prime Minister once said that the world needs more Canada.
Therefore, Yessi Trading Corp is a cultivation of two concepts. One, is understanding that the quality of Canadian products is surpassed by none. That’s why it is their desire to help Canadian producers bring quality Canadian products to more of the world. The second is appreciating the wonderful variety of positive products that the world has to offer Canada. And therefore being proud to offer products such a bamboo drinking straws from Taiwan.
Fernando, Leyla and Dina are all bilingual… fluent in both English and Spanish. All three immigrated to Canada, originally from Bogota, Colombia. So whether you need help in English or Spanish, they can accommodate you. They are people of great integrity. They have taken to heart the company motto; ” The Positive Choice”.
